I did a practical joke. Actually, germans are brilliants (Bach, Handel, and whole germans philosophers too). But I think Italy more exciting. The two countries are both very fantastics!!!

@maiorino92 – you are right. I am Italian, too but Germany is one of the greatest teams ever. With Brazil, Argentina, and Italy. I think. Ok I really like Holland, too but can’t put it with the other ones
Germany is such a great team, one you don’t want to play against. Ever.

ah yes Roma, here I agree, both Germany and CharleMAGNUS are Latin,…anyways I’m reading an ethimologycal dictionary of the Italian names and surnames and the number of Italian names or surnames or place names derived from German (LOmbard, Frank, Goth ecc.) is IMPRESSIVE, expecially in Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany , Friul but not only

I don’t believe “all the worlds words derive from latin”….I’m just saying that Romans gave names such as Germanicus, Africanus, etc., and later Italians gave children names of non-Italian heros such as Charlemagne. Also, nick-names such as Antonio the “lombard” because of characteristics. I do think you’re knowledgeable on this subject, and I agree with finding things in common.

well Dear Mr Roma, I can understand that you fans of “Roman Empire” believe that all the world’s words derives from Latin ,..but, believe me (seeing that I’m studying very well these things, cos my family have an ancient Lombard Rooted name (Lombards were a german tribe that came here in Italy, like many other german tribes , for several centuries before and after the fall of Roman Empire)…..Gilardino or Gherardi or Gherardini are all LOmbard (Langbarten)rooted names

Those names are found in Latin which was widely used before German, so they originated in ancient Latin.
Nevertheless, I don’t believe in using racial slurs.
